Podcast: A Horrible Story Out Of India

Please review post

When you have a story of a bishop raping a nun multiple times, you know it’s bad. When that story comes from a country with an increasingly violent strain of anti-Catholicism, then you know it’s really, really bad.

The nun in the story handled this correctly: she went to law enforcement and has thus remained anonymous in the face of the police actually doing their jobs. This has kept the story from becoming unnecessarily dramatic, which is saying something given the subject matter. The context of the story is very important, given that paganism is the religious rule in the country, and violence against Christians is on the rise.
