  1. P.S.

    Anthony, you forgot [ ? ] to put text of document

    just your voice.

  2. Most Loved Anthony,

    WOW, in my vocation as physician, I am saddened and ashamed for my fellow travelers who embrace offering life ending health care services for the love of other.

    The “seal of approval” , by Vatican intelligences , as might green light volitional participation as might enable their participation to deliver the “treatment” of euthanasia ,is appalling.

    I observe , culture arrives at this juncture , consequent to communist/socialized medicine. Protocols of treatment ordered to cost/benifit assessments as might maintain dollar expenditure to a minimum when caring for someone profoundly ill. Families are given permission to decide , to participate in ending a loved one’s life, under advisement that to dedicate resources to life sustaining care appears futile . Maybe so , but any decision made for a patient who can not communicate for themselves, who can’t decide for themselves, places all decision makers in the role of playing God.

    There is no good reason for the Vatican to weigh in ? Life is precious from birth until natural death .
    When the Vatican takes a position on “treatment” options, it actually pushes moral responsibility onto decision makers as might be totally ignorant as to the kaleidoscope of moral considerations presented before them.

    In relation to the soul(s) of the decision makers the Vatican position paper, in affect, imposes the burden of guilt and shame onto any decision maker. For those deciding , as they may or may not self reflect; the Vatican is saying “ok” even as decision makers know themselves (heart and mind) , that something is wrong and not “ok” .

    The publication, on whole, a useless production of eloquent administrative words of ecclesial medical ethics speak that obfuscates . There is no need for an abundance of soliloquy – the guidance should have been, euthanasia always bad , and then let those who dabble in these dark arts decide for themselves how evil or not any decision might be .

    Culturally , managed health care , government regulated payment for services , will always say ok, don’t worry , as the system saves money (resources) without any weight given to the uniqueness of each individuals life journey as an eternal soul. What nobody can know , as it alleged
    “No one home” , that which Terry Shiavo knew interiorly of her circumstances as those around her looked on and labeled her a “vegetable” . You can only imagine , not able to manifest oneself in physical reality by vocal communication , that which the heart and mind experienced while those around her openly engaged in conversation planing her demise .

    Profound thought and prayer is demanded for all life choices when loving the other who has no voice . God allows our free will to choose even if every option seems as if a “no win circumstance”.
    Ultimately only God’s Grace can provide an eventual Exudus from seemingly impossible circumstances.

    Blessings , Dr.Scott

    1. “Profound thought and prayer is demanded for all life choices
      when loving the other who has no voice .”

      . . especially when that “other” has been a life-long intimate member
      of his or her FAMILY.

      There isn’t a “no win circumstance” in the realm of God’s Grace
      [ unless it is conscious final rejection of His Mercy ]. “All is grace”
      declare both Teresa . . of Avila and of Lisieux. Like them, for those
      in the habit of profound thought and (relentless) prayer,
      “SEEMINGLY impossible circumstances” are pregnant with
      “eventual Exoduses” [ miraculous cures; prayers answered;
      reversals of one kind or another ]

      While the Saints DO intercede “from Above”, and saints
      “below” take seriously Jesus’ confirmation that “NOTHING
      is IMPOSSIBLE to God”, the Bond between Heaven and Earth
      remains Jesus’ consistent response to His cures and healings:
      “Great is your Faith. Go
      now and [ . . “show yourself to the Priests”; “sin no more”;
      let it be done as you have believed”; “tell no one” ].
