   You are spot on, to confront inclinations requires prayer, asking for COURAGE.

   Ostracized and/or excluded:

   This is an observation of subjective sentiment formed by an individuals perception of their relationship with the other(s),often arrived at when objectively knowable words and deeds manifest in physical reality

   . Subjectively ,a perceiver can never know with certainty the thoughts of someone they encounter. Objectively, upon an engagement with the “other”, in the hypothetical the other were to speak “ I don’t want you in my home”, the perceiver knows exactly the extent to which any engagement with the other will occur (boundaries). There is then false perception, when the perceiver decides for themselves that which they believe to know the other thinks; when it comes to rejection the perceiver may create their story (narrative) to explain a rejection , often an internalized narrative that blames the other for intolerance.; the perceiver fails to acknowledge any responsibility for that contribution of conduct which is self destructive, that which creates a circumstance of self chosen exclusion; a subconscious process infused by an unrecognized presence of guilt and shame- the pain of relationship is buried in unconscious mind.

   Akin to alcohol use, which can numb emotional pain as a drug , the psychological operation is that of a defense mechanism. It is by this psychological dynamic that the wounded perceiver need not experience an amplification of pain by an attempt to confront or chose a course of action as might eliminate the pain ( ergo : repentance and conversion from an identity to its opposite as might have the consequence to change a relationship with the other to it’s opposite , going from bad to good or alternatively going from good to bad .

   In keeping with that said, the perceiver is understood as unable to self reflect and “see themselves” ( an inadequate engagement with the Holy Spirit who is available to offer an illumination of consciousness ). The soul , rather then search for courage, with a core desire to be loved (True Love by Jesus) those unable to repent and/or convert insist, demand ( shove down the others throat) that the others love be demonstrated by the giving of Communion; they fail to recognize or know that forced love demanded, an insistence to be loved, beggits false love or unwilling love ( not unconditional as analogous to a rape).The perceiver,then,by their own action, creates the circumstance where the other is blamed to be “phobic” if not participatory to acts of false love. In psychological dynamics akin to a one night stand.

   1. Wow! . . that’s an “ear full”, Dr. Scott, perhaps
      “over the top” for regular penitents, for whom
      regular Confession is sufficient.

      What has helped “Prairie Grandpa” is St. Teresa of
      Avila’s [ Doctor of Prayer ] “definition” of Prayer:

      “Mental prayer [ spiritual, like ordinary human conversation ]
      is nothing other than 1/ an intimate FRIENDSHIP,
      2/ a frequent CONVERSATION with 3/ HIM, 4/ BY WHOM
      we KNOW ourselves 5/ to BE LOVED.” That perception firmly
      establishes the INDESTRUCTIBLE nature of our Eucharistic
      Friendship with Jesus, “fully God and fully Man” . .
      barring all serious [ mortal ] sin.

      “Gay Socialists” —Spanish, or from any other
      language group —are cast adrift from the “Source
      and Summit” of TRUE Gaiety and Joy. They will
      always carry within themselves a “big hole”
      where the Eucharistic Jesus DIED TO BE !

      But for the ordinary Baptized Catholic, regular
      [ and, surely, frequent ] Sacramental Confession
      will KEEP the Layman and Laywomen on “the
      straight and narrow” . . the path to ETERNAL life
      and happiness . . . WITH JESUS.
