1. So the original quotation that’s been attributed to Melanie of La Salette has been tracked down.

   The key word in French is “vermoulus”. Yes, you could translate that as worm-ridden or worm-eaten or more demotically as “wormy”. Or perhaps “verminous” would do.

   “Flat” and “dubious”—likely translations—are interesting adjectives, too.

   I suppose when it comes WITH “flat” then “worm-eaten” might suggest less rotting meat and death and corruption and more a decaying folio that has been partly eaten. It kind of makes me think of the kind of man who is actually quite well-read in the old texts and likes to quote them but who fails to see their point—a character rather like Sir Walter Scott’s comic scholar Dryasdust.

   Does that sound like anyone to you? It sounds a little like Prevost to me to be quite frank. This is a man who will quote, say, Augustine of Hippo, but in a kind of pedantic and antiquarian way. Meanwhile his actual message will turn out to be a modernist one, not one St Augustine himself would’ve recognised. Augustine is somehow no longer on fire, no longer a lion of truth but a prevaricating cat with dusty and mangy fur—Gus at the theatre door.

2. Norton, TRUE , I agree either way with you 100%.
   TRUTH is God, Jesus, and His Spirit who are all knowing . Thats why , ultimately , Gods’ Judgement IS HIS , He knows everything . Priests can offer forgiveness and absolution , BUT even though priest ,In Persona Christi , they are unable to “know” the extent to which His Mercy overcomes His Justice . YES , the sinner is/can be saved by confession- BUT , that does not mean saved from the consequences of God’s Justice ( purgatory ? Hell ?) “We” men somehow think and represent to others our certitude as to that which God has decided or that which God Will do. A fools errand to presume God Is All Good … with that which man claims he does as a “good” in His Name .

   My take, “Bella Dodd” motivated or not , God Knows, and He Will by His Will render the final judgement. What you think ?

3. I noticed this morning you repeated the story that Bella Dodd claimed to have placed 1,000 communists into our seminaries to become priests in order to subvert the faith. This is pure urban myth. There’s no evidence she ever said that to anyone.

      You need to do your research ? Dodd’s relationship with Sheen, by my studies , undisputed . Dodd , herself , never denied that that she did the “deed”.
      In our age of weatherman underground , students for a democratic society ( SDS ), Black panthers ,
      Antifa , BLM …. what makes you think , as might be conjoined with “Pride”, that “they” in their minds are not playing Marxist in checkers ? I use the word checkers, as moves done with intent , BUT Chess it is not … “they” think they go for the”long play” BUT can never out “move” Eternal God”.

I don’t know what kind of “research” you did, but my research failed to find the slightest bit of corroboration to the claim that Bella Dodd said she had planted communists inside our seminaries, let alone a thousand such individuals. Some say she testified to that effect before Congress. Very well. Read the verbatim transcripts of her testimony. You won’t find it. Some say it was in her speaking tours. Read the newspaper stories on her appearances. You won’t see it. Listen to complete recordings of her speeches. You won’t hear it. Some say it’s in this or that book that she wrote. Read the book. It’s not there. She supposedly confided in Fulton Sheen. Does Sheen corroborate this? Not to my knowledge. Sheen supposedly told her to keep her mouth shut about communist cardinals in the Vatican. Where is the evidence of this? In Sheen’s books? I do not dispute that she and Sheen knew each other, but that is irrelevant. You say Dodd “never denied that she did the deed.” The point is, she never asserted that she did the deed, either, despite the fact that this canard is endlessly repeated across the web by reams of secondary articles which cite no sources whatsoever. There is no truth to this story, and our content providers should stop repeating it, because it’s a libel against both Dodd and Sheen.

            Hypothetical, your spot on in everything you know by your knowledge and research to be accurate . The problem, then, is what you “know” as an individual is disputed by other individuals, is that they believe to “know”different . So the adage , the more a lie is told the more it becomes reality, or “truth” – there are true believers out thee whose belief is in opposition to that which you “know” .

            Then the hypothetical, if everything you share is correct , “The Dodd Story” , a myth of urban legend , the question which follows , if Dodd didn’t do “it” , who did ?

            Then the possible answer is terrifying !!
            The only authorities then capable of opening the doors of seminaries to radical lefties, communists/socialists by social justice ideologies, are those rectors and Bishops that “run” the seminaries . So the whole “gay is good” thing entwines with the ideologies of rectors and Bishops who opened the doors . There is no need for a Bella Dood if The Church by its magisterial leaders puts the gun to Christs head asking Him to commit suicide ?
            Obviously Christ did not pull the trigger . He just allowed those who He Called, as a Judas with free will, to screw up ?
