   Jimmy Martin, quite simply , is a wolf in sheep’s clothing, a “pack leader” who truly believes he knows where he is headed and to where he should herd the sheep. This “priest” is a man on a mission, Pride , and conflates his cause of “gay is good” to be in keeping with God given dignity.

   Jimmy is best characterized as a practitioner of medical theology,”You are born that way (genetics)” , and by extension “You are forgiven, no repentance necessary, thanks be to God you were born that way and incapable of being anything different than the way God created you”.

   It is medicine, secular “priests” of psychiatry, who have then been guiding their flocks (patients), advising treatment (s) (shepherding), for 75 years following psychological/psychiatric models of scientific studies – the application of academic parameters of medical care that exclude the consideration of guilt and shame as variables that accompany mental illness; there are no defined metrics for moral values. The criteria of diagnosis and treatment has become anything goes”. Natural laws are rendered subservient to the laws of men. There is no vice or virtue. The “seven deadly” are reduced to behavioral conduct without consequences.

   In this paradigm Jimmy has aligned himself with the priesthood of secular medical practitioners. Compassion for the patient becomes manifest as
   love,tolerance,empathy, and sensitivity to the patients state of mental health. Science , medical theology, largely evolutionary and foundationally athiestic, characterizes all human behavior in terms of “industry standards” – there is no longer a belief that mental illness exists. Privatization of faith (“faith alone”), becomes manifest as private choices made in regards to behavioral conduct, “Do what you want in your own bedroom”. There is no guilty conscience or shame – disordered personal choices are no longer defined by DSM V diagnostic criteria ( psychiatric manual ) as mental
   illness – all observable patterns of human
   behavior reduced to “conditions”.

   All that to say, as Jimmy resigns himself from the priesthood of Melchizedek, his “cause” becomes the hedonism of Sodom and Gomorrah,habituated unrepentant sin, “faith alone” without works.

Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.

   19 Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, 20 idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, 21 envy,[a] drunkenness, orgies, and things like these.
