I mean, that should be obvious, right? But it isn’t. It’s becoming increasingly easy to believe the very worst about the priests and bishops of the Church, and even of other lay Catholics. Why is that?
A good rule to live by is that if the secular press is reporting something related to the Church, take it with a grain of salt. Especially in these times where politics invades every aspect of our lives and we’re expected to go along with it as if that was a good and normal thing. So don’t believe every accusation leveled against a priest, especially the one in this case.
