There are two versions of the Penitential Rosary. One by St. Padre Pio and the other, by the Mexican mystic, Mother María Concepción of the Nativity and the Perpetual Help of Mary, a Franciscan Minim and founder of the Order of Victim Souls. I pray both versions as they are both very beautiful prayers.
The version described here is the Mother Concepcion version (not the Padre Pio’s). It is interspersed with the hours of the Little Office of the Holy Ghost, composed in 1924 by Ven. Fr. Felix of Jesus Rougier of the Missionaries of the Holy Ghost. It has the required ecclesiastical permission.
In the Penitential Rosary of Padre Pio. the Mysteries of the Rosary are commemorated on the 5 large beads. On EACH of the 50 small beads is prayed one Our Father, one Hail Mary, one Glory Be to the Father, and the ejaculation: ‘Hail Mary Most Pure, conceived without original sin.’ As in the traditional Rosary, the Creed is said on the crucifix.

Thank you Anthony for posting the pdf. I was a bit confused with the little office of the Holy Ghost. I’m good now and will have a try tomorrow. Ave Maria. St Joseph pray for us.
The instructions include references to Matins and Lauds, Prime, Terce, etc., when we should pay the “Little Office of the Holy Ghost” – does this mean we need some other reference? Should these be done throughout the day? Is there a place where we can get a single document with everything in it?
