Obviously, I believe that LGBTQ people should be as included as any other parishioner in their church. Just as obviously, I believe that churches are sacred spaces and certain actions are out of bounds. (Full disclosure: I had been invited to preach but was out of town.)

Who started saying that “the Church DOESN’T
recognize the ‘James Martin’ crowd? And when?
The Church had ALWAYS recognized the “James
Martin crowd”. It’s just that he and they have
neither accepted [ oh yes! they KNOW IT ! ] the
course of ACTION which the Church has ALWAYS
clearly stated must be taken TO SEPARATE ONE’S
SELF from the habit of serious sin, especially from
one of the “sins that cry out to Heaven for
vengeance”.
But this course of REPENTENT EXERTION demanded
by the REAL CHURCH to address REAL SIN has
been talked [ laughed ] out of existence by a
disobedience, by stiff-necked, kicking-and-screaming
spiritual juveniles.
They need a serious “spanking” on their you-know-
where-behinds !
Humiliating ?
Exactly . . plus bread and water for a month, it being
Lent ‘n all.

The modernists enjoy that you might fall into their trap and accept the temptation that hating the sin and hating the sinner go hand in hand . Ananthema!! Ours is to hate the sin and pray for the sinner ( ourselves and each other) . In prayer, In union with His Spirt, Love and Mercy flow – any and all hate is vanquished. Final judgement is in His Hands. Only God knows the totality of any heart and mind .
