1. Goethe is pronounced “Gur’ tə, or Gair’ tə. I was taught something more like the latter, although neither spelling gives a precise pronunciation. FYI, if you want to know how something’s pronounced, it only takes a second to type the word and pronunciation next to it on google, like
   ‘ Goethe pronunciation ‘.
   With regard to the post, I would be very surprised if Francis is canonized, even if Tagle or someone like him is elected Pope, simply because of the Francis fatigue. And I suspect they would know the outrage it would cause.

      nothing comparable to it in North-American
      English.
