Some of the greatest minds of the 19th and 20th centuries tried to warn the Church that apostasy within the Church was imminent. This was accomplished at least in part of the adoption of a secular understanding of human nature.

My summation , God is the same today , yesterday , and tomorrow; God knows , and IS the only ONE who KNOWS the end from the beginning (omnipresent and omnipresent) . The Holy Trinity shares with us to know our Lord Jesus Christ ; His Way, His Truth, and His Life. Jesus is our salvation from His Moral Law , written upon our hearts , which we are unable to follow consequent to our weaknesses, the consequence of original sin ( concupiscence ) . His sacrifice , His gift of Himself , in manifestation His Alive Eucharistic Real Presence, provides us the power by His Communion to overcome our faults; receiving Him and His Forgiveness within. His power, invited into our body’s and soul , while not worthy that He might enter under our roof, by the acceptance of His invitation we attend the table of His Altar. Our worship and love becomes the means by which we can strive to pass through the narrow gate. His power within becomes that which overcomes and is greater than any and all worldly power ( evil ). In communion He Gifts us the victory and the promise of eternal life . He is the head of the body , by His Holy Cross He has saved the world .
In view of your analysis , in consideration of that which I share, all men’s machinations, as might attempt to conform the eternal truths of His Church to man’s manipulation, is invariably an effort of failure from the beginning. The manufacture of any ideology ( lie ), contrary to His teachings and revelations ( Holy Scripture and unchanging tradition ), will never stand . Mary’s Immaculate Heart has triumphed ( even if not yet “seen” ).
My summation, reflecting upon the discourse you provide , the modes of betrayal can be characterized by simple words and expressions ; relativism , narcissism , ego , power, double mindedness, double speak , double lives, hedonism, idol worship, deception, distraction, destruction , pride, lust, envy , sloth , greed, gluttony , and wrath.
In short , The Church, the present spiritual battle within itself, is an alive reality in which a public examination of conscience is active ;an illumination of consciousness which asks every believer to individually engage. In our turmoil we are inspired to confess , as might conform each of our wills to repent, accept any penance given, and embrace His Forgiveness which He makes available by His Sacrifice.
