1. I’m starting to grow weary of the digs against “Cultural Catholicism” usually made by converts. Culture sustained centuries of illiterate Catholics.

   Ethnicity & Culture are the Form of Catholic content. Ethnicity & Culture without Catholic religious universality leads to racial narcissism and collective self worship. Catholicism without ethnicity is deracinated, ghost-like and susceptible it ideological colonisation.

   For the first part: ask a low information Catholic when he noticed a shift. He won’t point to a single Vatican text. He’ll say the music changed or we started eating meat on Fridays.

   For the second part, think back several years when all the converts had blogs and how many of them were tools of the Neo-con regime in Washington.
