Vigano is entirely correct. All of this should be perfectly obvious to anyone who gives it a few moments thought provided their thinking has not been corrupted by Subjectivism, i.e.the Modernism of Vatican II.

The ‘Land ‘O Lakes’, an outgrowth of Vatican II, put several nails in what has become the coffin of Catholicism in the United States. There should be no question about this point.

On a personal note, for a number of years I had a friendship with a priest who had been the Treasurer of Notre Dame under Fr. Hesburgh. He said that he eventually h came to the conclusion that the ‘Land ‘O Lakes’ agreement was a bad idea.
