Pope Francis is not confused or confusing. We know, certainly by now, that his form of Christianity is not Catholic in the traditional meaning, but rather Communist in the Vatican II sense. He believes that since all of us are saved by Christ the only task we have as Catholics, and mankind in general, is to equalize material welfare among the world’s population. In his mind accomplishing this will bring peace and justice to mankind.

All of this might be possible if we could find a way to abrogate Original Sin, something that Francis evidently doesn’t believe in or able to see despite its daily and graphic demonstration everywhere and for all of history. Charitably, Francis is blind to reality (his own in particular) and deaf to the message of Christ. Uncharitably, he is quite possibly possessed by the devil.
