Someday maybe at least some of these bishops will wake up and realize that the accelerating loss of faith in old Christendom was made possible by their going along with Caesar in 2020.

Obliviousness, yes. It can happen to those with dead consciences who have convinced themselves the evil they have done is actually good. Our Bishops are suffering now from the inability to perceive reality and the part they played beginning especially with the Protestantization of the Catholic faith officially made the objective of the Church at Vatican II.
