Yesterday, on the Feast of Sts Peter and Paul (and the alleged anniversary of the enthronement of Lucifer in the Vatican if Malachi Martin’s allegations are correct), Francis issued a meandering document on the Latin Mass that does make a not terribly subtle demand of the bishops.

“God must hold first place: prayer to Him is our first duty . The Liturgy is the first source of Divine Communion in which God shares his own life with us . . the first school of the spiritual life . . the first gift we must make to Christian people . . a primary invitation to the human race . . ”
B U T . . each and all of “the above” depend for their efficacy on the CORRECT UNDERSTANDING of the CATHOLIC Mass —the “Mass of the Ages” —the heart of which Bishop Athanasius Schneider irrevocably places in the ORIGINAL understanding of THE OFFERTORY AS SACRIFICIAL, and not —as Bugnini/ “Paul VI” would have it—a banquet or meal around a table . . to be “left to OUR OWN MEDITATION” [ i.e. purely subjective, immanentist, Modernist, Novus Ordo vintage ] . . with the consequence of MANY “interpretations”, some of which at least will be at variance with others. Such a forcast is NOT the vintage of Sacred Tradition . . instead, perhaps, the fodder for the upcoming Synod on “Synodality”.
Francis concludes with, “We are in need of a serious and dynamic liturgical formation”. Serious and dynamic? . . from the Pope of Ambiguity? [ translate ] on-going DE-formation, using the seriously-limping [ non-binding ]
Vatican II as a smoke screen.
We recall Pope Paul VI’s observation, “The Smoke of Satan has entered (the Church).” Therefore, “Liturgical formation” —á la Francis’ track record —can only mean an artifact, a presentation of the Liturgy and the Mass
with an Offertory EMPTY of the prior-required element of SACRIFICE:
” . . The traditional Offertory Prayers date back to the 9th century, or even earlier . . meant to point to the Cross,
so the Church expresses . . the intentio —i.e., what she intends to do —which is NOT to carry out a simple meal,
but THE GREATEST ACTION, which is the sacrifice of Christ. That is why the Offertory must NECESSARILY
express the SACRIFICE that is to BE OFFERED”. In the Offertory Prayers of the Novus Ordo Missae, on the other hand, the intentio expresses the aspect of a meal, or banquet. THAT IS WHY the new Offertory Prayers are dogmatically, doctrinally, and spiritually DEFECTIVE and should be REPLACED by the ancient prayers, which correspond to the spirit of the UNIVERSAL CHURCH OF A L L TIMES . .
The principle of anticipation, that is, of the gradual ritual and verbal expression of the sacrificial element —WHICH IS THE ESSENCE OF THE MASS —is common to all of the Church’s most ancient liturgies, of both East and West.”

Concluding comment: To saddle the Laity with lawlessness [ “NON binding”; i.e. NO law. Lawlessness. Not-so-subtle “soft” chaos-laden rebellion, which is of the very essence of Marxist Atheism ] is inhuman, to say the least, and of Satan at worst, “ . . father of lies, and a murderer from the beginning.”
Nice try, Bugnini !
CORRECTION: 1/ Pope Paul VI concludes his letter with: “We are in need of a serious and dynamic
Liturgical formation.” 2/ Delete: “Serious and dynamic? . . from the Pope of Ambiguity? [ translate ] on-going DE-formation, using the seriously-limping [ non-binding ] Vatican II as a smoke screen.” 3/ “serious and dynamic
formation” can only bear lasting fruit if the Church of Vatican II returns to what was essential to the Offertory.
POSTSCRIPT : concerning the BEAUTY of the Liturgy/ Mass, if “beauty is in the eye of the beholder”,
perceiving the “beauty” of the Liturgy can become problematic, since every eye and every beholder might
perceive something quite different . . entertaining for comparison purposes, but ephemeral and fleeting
too. But If BEAUTY derives from the objective “thing itself”, then THAT BEAUTY remains, to be more and more FULLY discovered, appreciated . . even lived from. Here, once again, is Bishop Athanasius Schneider on “The Mass Is Splendour”: [ initial statements only. The whole chapter —the whole conversation (book) —is a
MUST READ for this Catholic pilgrim and relentless seeker] :
“The moment of the sacrifice of the Cross, and thus the Holy Mass, is the most sublime act of the
glorification of God, and therefore of the glory of God [ can there be a greater BEAUTY? ], which
contains within itself all the splendour of S U P E R N A T U R A L BEAUTY. Jesus Himself said of
His sacrifice on the Cross: ‘ Now is my soul troubled. And what shall I say? “Father, save me from this hour?” No, for this purpose I have come to this hour. Father, GLORIFY thy name.’ Then a voice came from heaven:
‘I have glorified it, and I will glorify it again (John 12:27-28); . . . . ”
In Christ suffering on the Cross, we find treasures of S P I R I T U A L BEAUTY. As St.Bonaventure
said: ‘Thy heart is a goodly treasure; it is A HEART THAT IS PRECIOUS. It was [so] when the field of
thy body had been dug [pierced] that we found it.'” . . .
Francis —his WHOLE pontificate! —has missed mining the riches of the Wisdom of these Saints,
which he has consistently written off as “rigid”.
Poor man ! !
So long as Francis remains OUTSIDE his self-proscribed “Rigid” Sacred Deposit of the Faith,
he will NEVER “get it right”. So, our at-home family prayers FOR him will also never stop;
that’s the duty [ old, but good word ] of unafraid [ and, yes, frightened Catholics too ] Lay men
and women . . until “40 minutes after the Devil knows we’re dead (i.e. passed into Eternity)”.
1 Corinthians 5:11 “But now I have written to you, not to keep company, if any man that is named a brother be a fornicator or covetous or a server of idols or a railer or a drunkard or an extortioner: with such a one, not so much as to eat.” 1 John 5:16 “He that knoweth his brother to sin a sin which is not unto death, let him ask, and life shall be given to him, who sinneth not death. There is a sin unto death; for that I say not any man ask.”
Thank you for the passages from the Letters, John. At the same time, my understanding of Jesus’ DIVINE MERCY offer—He CAME to die FOR sinners, and that includes the worst of the worst! —is the opportunity of FINAL repentance . . until even the last seconds of life. So, we carry on with the daily prayer for Francis.
