Many “Thanks!”, Anthony, for clearing the air. Bishop
Schneider is solidly versed in Theology and in the History
of the Church. His letter mightily relieves we Lay men
and women who haven’t the depth of scholarship that
the Bishop wonderfully possesses.
While Fr. Altman is not an in-depth scholar, if it
weren’t for his passionate love of the Church and
for the Authority vested in the “Keys of St. Peter” —
concluded by problematic statements —Bishop
Schneider [ I believe ] would not have come forth
to clarify official Church teaching touching on
the theological and moral mare’s nest of Pope
Francis and his Pontificate. Indeed . . .
“ . . we must not yield to a too human reaction and
to an easy solution (declaring the invalidity of his
pontificate), but must keep sobriety (keep a cool
head) and at the same time a true supernatural
view and trust in Divine intervention and in the
indestructibility of the Church.”
